Environmental requirements for submersible sewage pump installation
Submersible Sewage Pump Installation Environmental Requirements
Installation Location:
1. The influence of altitude;
2. Selection of horizontal, vertical, single-stage, or multi-stage pumps based on installation conditions;
3. Whether the submersible sewage pump is installed indoors or outdoors, on the ground or
submerged; if submerged, whether it's a single pump head or the entire motor, the submerged
depth and diving depth must be considered;
4. The impact of vibration and impact at the pump installation site.
Environmental Conditions:
1. Ambient Temperature: The pump may operate below a certain temperature; cold brittleness must
be considered, and low-temperature resistant materials should be used; a cylindrical double-casing
centrifugal pump should be selected;
2. Environmental Noise: Low noise is required for the pump; a sliding bearing structure and low-noise
hydraulic design should be considered, along with a low-noise motor;
3. Relative Humidity: In high-humidity environments, pump corrosion must be considered, and rust
prevention measures should be taken. The protection rating of the motor must also be considered;
4. Atmospheric Pressure and Atmospheric Corrosion.
Power Grid Conditions:
1. Power grid frequency (60Hz in foreign countries);
2. Is the power grid capacity sufficient?
3. Is the power grid voltage three-phase (380V), single-phase (220V), or a different voltage (including
high voltage above 660V)? What is the range of power supply voltage variations?
4. Is the power supply AC or DC?
5. Voltage drop due to the distance between the power supply and the pump's location (for long-distance
cable transmission).
