The success of DESMI centrifugal pumps in Denmark is closely related to the suction principle

 described below. This principle means that DESMI's S-type pumps can extract a mixture of air and 

liquid and discharge air in the suction pipe. As a result, there is no need to install a foot valve when 

the pump is absorbing water. The S-type pump is supplied with an open shaft end, which can be

 coupled to a motor or mounted on a base to connect to a gasoline or diesel engine, or a hydraulic or electric motor.

Suction

The pump suction is based on the diffusion principle, which means that the suction capacity is independent 

of valves and other mechanical principles, and the pumped liquid is mixed with air.

In addition, the diffusion principle enables the S-type pump to effectively transport liquids that are slightly

 contaminated or mixed with air.
