DESMI Rotan gear pump start-up and stop operation steps

ROTAN® internal gear pumps provide favorable flow conditions as the fluid flow direction 

changes only require a slight adjustment to the pump.

1. Inspection before starting of imported Rotan gear pump:

1.1 Check the sealing of all pipeline flanges and joints before starting, and the requirements 

are strictly necessitated and not leaked.

1.2 Check whether the valves (heating tracing lines are normal) of the pump and inlet and outlet 

pipelines must be in good condition and correctly used. The coupling can only be started without holding the force.

1.3 Before the pump is imported, metal filters must be installed, check and clean every 90 days, and keep records.

1.4 Verify the rotation direction of the motor and start it only after the steering is correct.

2. Starting of imported Rotan gear pumps:

The first start should be injected into the pump to feed liquid. Before starting, the valves in the suction 

and discharge pipelines should be fully opened. It is strictly forbidden to start when the valve is closed.

3. Operation of imported Rotan gear pump:

3.1 Check the operating current of the pump and observe the number of pressure gauge. If there is any 

abnormality, stop the pump and check, and make corresponding records.

3.2 Pay attention to the temperature of each part of the bearing and pump body during operation. 

The first start should not exceed 80℃. If the sound of the pump and motor is abnormal or the ammeter

 pointer rises rapidly, stop the car and check immediately.

3.3 It is strictly forbidden to operate under no load or overload conditions.

4. Parking of imported Rotan gear pumps:

When stopping, close the motor first and then close the inlet and outlet valves of the pump. It is strictly 

forbidden to close the inlet and outlet valves before closing the motor.

5. The following situations should not continue to run:

5.1 The pump makes abnormal sound and abnormal vibration.

5.2 The pump body and motor are hot.

5.3 The pump inlet pressure is negative pressure.

6. Keep the pump operation records carefully and keep the pump, pipeline and its surrounding

 environment sanitation.
